| There was something for everyone at "Kenny Capelo's Cut-A-Thon." Thanks to the hard work and efforts of Steve Crosby, along with the Capelo salon staff, many items from local businesses were donated as part of the "silent auction." People bid on their favorite auction items and bought raffle tickets in hopes of winning a flat screen TV, donated by Best Buy. |

| 100% of proceeds from hair cuts were also generously donated to N.O.T.E. by all of the hairdressers working at Capelo's, that day. If bidding on silent auction items and buying raffle tickets worked up and appetite no one needed to worry. Sandwiches, wings, drinks and a cake were all donated by local merchants. Not to forget the children at this event, it didn't take them long to find the face painting table where they could let go with their creative side. |

| This wasn't the first fundraising event Maria Capelo has put on in memory of her nephew, Kenny, who was killed on a motorcycle. Kenny's family became a donor family, saving the lives of several people waiting on the organ transplant list. A bond between Maria Capelo and the National Organization for Transplant Enlightenment was formed and continues to this day. | ||||
